Monalee is waiving the security deposit ($100 value) on new solar projects. Promotion expires 11/24/24.
Our process kicks off with a site survey to get an understanding of your electrical setup and the condition of your roof.
As soon as we receive the homeowner’s signed Monalee agreement, our process kicks off.
The first step is scheduling an in-person site survey for the homeowner. Site surveys are important because they give us a comprehensive overview of their electrical setup and the condition of their roof.
During the visit, our technician will need to see the homeowner’s attic and access the breaker panel. Depending on the complexity of the roof structure, they may also need to enter other rooms in the home. This is to ensure the safety of the solar installation.
The safety of the solar installation could involve assessing the structural integrity of your roof, ensuring proper electrical connections at the breaker panel, and possibly planning for the placement of solar panels in a way that minimizes any safety risks. For example, accessing the attic might be necessary to check the roof structure, and entering other rooms could be related to creating a floor plan that considers the layout of the house for optimal solar panel placement while adhering to safety regulations and guidelines. It’s crucial to have a comprehensive understanding of the property to ensure a safe and effective solar installation process.
An adult over the age of 18 must be present for the duration of the site survey and should the homeowner need to cancel or reschedule, we ask that they notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
If the site survey is completed successfully (this is usually the case), we move the project to the design phase.
Some homes may require additional work in order to move forward, such as a main panel upgrade. When this happens, we work with the homeowner to nail down next steps.
