We’re thrilled to be featured in Google’s Next ‘23 series that spotlights the next wave of technologies that are shaping the future.
2023 was one heck of a year for the U.S. solar market. According to a recent industry report, solar accounted for 45% of all new electricity-generating capacity added to the U.S. grid in the first half of the year. This speaks to a larger trend toward sustainability in general; something that was present before the pandemic, but greatly accelerated post-pandemic. In fact, a Pew Research Center survey found that 8% of U.S. homeowners have already installed solar panels, and an additional 39% of those surveyed are seriously considering making the switch.
At the same time, installing solar panels often comes at a cost…and we’re not just talking about money. Many homeowners find the traditional, multi-step process tiring and not totally worth it. This was a big driver for why we built Monalee; we wanted to make solar, storage, and EV charging installation affordable and accessible for everyone.
In developing our AI-powered self-serve platform, we’ve transformed the way consumers shop for solar. When a customer goes with Monalee, we handle the solicitation calls, lengthy design, and evaluation processes, and all the back-and-forth price negotiations that can take weeks to finalize (and let’s face it, are never fun). With Monalee, customers get a quote and then it’s straight off to system design.
Today, Monalee is the fastest, most efficient way for homeowners to go solar. Powered by AI but with a personalized, customer-first approach, we’ve helped hundreds of homeowners across the country save up to 50% on installation costs.
As a brand rooted in sustainability and innovation, we’re thrilled to be featured in Google’s Next ‘23 series that spotlights the next wave of technologies that are shaping the future. When Google launched Project Sunroof in 2015, it really put solar on the map, no pun intended. Since then, Google has credited much of their continued success to industry experts who share the same mission and vision.
As our Co-Founder and CEO, Walid Halty, shares with Saleem Van Groenou of Google Maps Platform, our technology uses AI to instantly create the optimal solar design to match a homeowner’s energy needs. For example, Monalee’s Solar API instantly gives us the data we need to analyze rooftops to determine how much sunlight they’re currently getting. From there, we can create customer proposals within the same workflow. Being able to do this remotely and instantly is a huge game changer, and saves our customers thousands of dollars in installation costs.
As we grow and scale, we remain committed to making solar and storage installation the go-to option for all homeowners, regardless of which state they’re located in and what electrical setup they currently have.
